PASTOR STEPHEN R. SCHMIDT, LEAD PASTOR
Pastor Steve is now serving in his eleventh year as Lead Pastor for St. Luke. He came to St. Luke after serving Connecticut College for nine years as the Chaplain of the College. He has been happily married to Joyce Schmidt for twenty eight years. Joyce continues to work for the Dean of the Faculty at Connecticut College. They have two adult daughters, Sarah and Rebekah. Sarah is attending New York University where she is studying for her Masters Degreee in Higher Administration and hopes to complete her degree in 2011. Rebekah just received her Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine/Sports Psychology from Barry University in Miami, Florida. She is now interviewing for an athletic trainer position at various colleges and universities. Steve and Joyce live in Quaker Hill along with our cat, Midnight.
