St. Luke encourages members to signup to bring the bread that will be used in Holy Communion at a service. A signup sheet is located on the bulletin board by the kitchen. A person can either make a loaf of bread themselves or purchase one. The loaf should be unsliced and not contain any raisins or seeds. Bread can be left on the counter top in the front foyer. Soft bread that is easy to tear without too many crumbs in perferred. Any questions concerning the bread should be directed to Cathy Hanson, head of the Altar Guild Team.
During the season of Lent we use unleaven communion wafters.
